Introduction and a Few Ground Rules

A few caveats and clarifications before we begin.

  • Yes, this is all fictional and done using the "free play" mode WWE Universe from the game WWE 2K14.
  • Yes, there are real wrestlers used in the game mode and they will be mentioned.  As such, there will be a touch of fanfiction here as the existing characters interact with fictional ones.
  • The focus of the blog will be mostly on the created wrestlers and their goings on.  More will be introduced as time progresses.
  • The Universe mode is set up approximately as follows:
    • There are two main shows, WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown.  Each show carries its own titles and separate rosters, save for the tag team division.  The tag team title is shared by both shows as teams from either can carry them.
    • Raw is considered the "top-tier" wrestlers.  The main event or top-card guys are in this show.  The major title of this show is the WWE Championship and the minor is the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
    • Smackdown is considered mid to low card guys or new arrivals to the big leagues who have yet to properly pay their dues.
    • Performers will bounce between each show as they rise and fall in the rankings based on usage, momentum, and rivalries.
    • I, for the most part, allow the game to run with matchmaking, rivalries, and match types but reserve the right to make alterations based on the flow of current storytelling.
  • Fun is the name of the game.  There's nothing that says stories and matches can't be nudged in certain ways due to fan influence.  Suggestions based on the action in and outside the ring are more than welcomed, but encouraged.  Although anything based on structure (rosters, titles, format of shows etc.) will be promptly ignored.
  • Be warned:  The roster is filled with superstars from the entire spectrum of available characters.  From the 80's (Big John Studd, Hulk Hogan), to the 90's (Undertaker, Big Bossman), the Attitude Era (The Rock, Stone Cold), and even a small sprinkling of current stars (The Shield, Ryback).  There's no real rhyme or reason to the specific superstars used, so don't try to find one.
  • The point of doing this is to put together a big of a timeline and history for the Universe I've created.  It's to take the small cues the game itself will sometimes throw out and use just a touch of imagination to add color to the pictures presented.  Feedback is welcome!
